There are organisations that conduct events.
And then there are organisations whose events change the direction of a sport.
For more than two decades, HASTPA has used the bicycle as an instrument of sport, exploration, youth development, tourism and social change. What began with the audacious idea of racing mountain bikes across the Himalayas gradually became an interconnected ecosystem of international stage races, city-based competitions, school programmes, professional cycling teams, cyclothons, awareness rides and trail-development initiatives.
HASTPA today records a legacy of 40+ elite mountain-biking events and more than 10,000 riders and participants engaged across its wider event ecosystem.
