THE NEXT CHAPTER OF THE HASTPA JOURNEY
For twenty years, every HASTPA event was quietly creating something beyond the race itself.
Every reconnaissance ride identified a trail.
Every stage taught something about gradient, drainage, rescue or access.
Every village taught something about community participation.
Every international rider revealed what a global mountain-biking traveller expects.
Every event built technical knowledge.
HASTPA today records an 886-km legacy route inventory derived from its event reconnaissance and operations, while its current trail-development work is seeking to convert portions of this accumulated knowledge into safe, graded and sustainable permanent riding infrastructure.
The proposed Shimla pilot alone is approximately 95 km, spanning the Glen, Jakhu, Kufri–Mashobra and Catchment–Koti–Chail corridors.
This represents the natural evolution of the movement:

Because a successful trail does much more than carry a cyclist.

The race may last a weekend.
